THE SPANISH COMPANY AZULEJOS PLAZA AWARDED EXPORT PRIZE BY CASTELLÓN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Last July the Castellon Official Chamber of Commerce awarded its Export, Tourism and Accord prizes 2011.

The spanish company AZULEJOS PLAZA (Plaza Tiles) obtained one of the Export Prizes, collected by its general manager, Mr. Carlos Lázaro.

AZULEJOS PLAZA was founded in 1962 and devotes itself to the manufacture of ceramic wall and floor tiles. Its exporting vocation is proven by more than 50 years of history and the selling of its products in more than 90 countries, mainly in the European markets. In 2010 the exports percentage was more than 70% of the sales total.

Its continuing innovative effort has brought the company the “Alfa do Oro 2011” innovation award for its Eco-logik project.

The Eco-logik series contains a high percentage of recycled materials coming from waste products derived from ceramic tile and glass manufacturing, thus enabling a reduction of emissions and significant energy saving.
