New year 2014, new ceramic trends

The new year arrives and with it new trends in decoration and interior design. In recent international exhibitions and now in the countdown to Cevisama 2014 exhibition, Spanish manufacturers will showcase their new collections, which perfectly follow these new trends.

New decorative lines that reach all parts of the house, inside and outside, without focusing on a single area: Motifs resize the leading to maxi patterned walls; hexagon sets trend, compared to basic-shaped traditional flooring; reliefs stay but converted into finer details and the most striking compositions follow the principles of patchwork ...

To keep abreast of the latest in ceramic tile wall and floor coverings, we review some of the styles you will see in the coming months:

Hidraulic by Art Antic
The legacy of our classics. Typical traditional tiles, which for some time have been rescued from tradition, are renewed by ceramics firms. 10×10cm tiles returning to our homes . A touch of nostalgia!

Unicer Cerámica
Maxi prints. Extra large prints, ideal for filling a wall with very striking XL motifs with lots of colour. Flowers, botanicals, vegetables and so on flood walls that contrasts with the rest in plain colours.

Mr. Volume. Reliefs are timeless. That volumetric accent is obtained through very bright enamel finishes in pure colours: white, black, pale red...

Hexagon by Cevica
Hexagonal World. These hexagonal pieces can be placed alternating their colours and creating a space with an actual essence. Using the most rustic clay pieces in ochre and earth tones, rooms get a touch of contemporary naturalness.
Tiger by Gaya Forés

Always natural. Ceramic wood helps to create a serene and natural atmosphere wherever they are placed. Attention to classical models in square format with small parts ... they will become a must.

Ceramic patchwork. It's a trend that continues this year. The mix & match collections created according to this textile technique apply equally to the living-room floor or the main kitchen wall, so that each composition can have the personal hallmark of the homeowners.

Mirror effect. Spaces will shine to the maximum with the latest addition of special polishing technique to achieve ultra reflex effect. Thus, ceramic floor tiles which remind of marble and onyx stones take on a new dimension.

Cifre Ceramica presents ceramic tiles against cold

We often hear those people who say: “I’m going for a wooden floor at home because it is warmer than ceramic tiles”. At Cifre Cerámica, maybe because they like ceramic tiles above all, do not agree at all. Ceramic tiles, especially thanks to the new natural textures that it reproduces, can create an equally warm and cozy atmosphere. Besides, it is the perfect material for its high resistance to cold and heat.

The ceramic tiles that reproduce wooden textures is one of the best ways of creating warm interiors.
There are fewer materials as warm as painted wall papers. The ceramic tiles of our “Passione” collection turn into a paper-covered wall to create this cozy bathroom.

Ceramics and wood get together in this setting from the Marat collection, where both materials and color shade create warmth.
