Ceramic tiles by Vives Ceramica in national and international architecture projects

Along the year 2013 Vives Cerámica has dressed with its products a number of construction projects both nationally and internationally. Hotels, restaurants and shopping centers have relied on the design, versatility, style and performance of the newest ceramic coverings by Vives to coat walls, floors, façades and common areas.

International projects

The Villa Sandini Spa Hotel, located in Sandim, Portugal and designed with an innovative chic-rustic style after the renovation of a whole ancient building, chose Polinesia Collection by Vives Cerámica for its exteriors: Moorea-R tile, White and Brown, is a wood look anti-slip porcelain tile ideal for wet areas.

Some styles just can’t help but resist the test of time. Without doubt, the 60’s are a prime example. They have managed to reproduce this style in Sölvesborg (Sweden) in this restaurant called “Bella’s Diner & Bar”. A key element to achieving this desired look was VIVES 20x20cm red body Alaska, Negro and Rojo Volcan floor tiles.

Next project takes us to Vilnius (Lithuania). The Civic Grafito (60x120cm) large format has been used in this shopping centre called “Aprangos Galerija” where cement is the inspiration.

Xara Lodge is an events complex for weddings, shows etc. located in a traditional house in the Maltese countryside near Rabat-Mdina. For its decoration Vives Titan series (Paros, Mara, Unsu, Uriel and Comodo) have been used, resulting in a design which brings together both tradition and modernity with a balance and with outstanding beauty.

Located inPrague, we find this elegant and casual restaurant which has also used VIVES materials for its creative decoration: The 1900 collection, resulting in a very distinctive and avant-garde style, appealing to the most cosmopolitan of customers.

Projects in Spain

The restaurant Farándula on the Spanish Costa Brava opened last year, of vintage style where industrial elements are mixed with some of the most traditional and classical such as solid woods. The materials used were 20x20 Aranjuez collection, specifically the products Yeles, Alcazar, Batres y Bargas for the wall covering and Güell-1 from the 1900 collection for the floors. In conclusion, the creativity used in the design and decoration within this premises shows the possibilities when different styles are brought together.

On the Galician Costa de Morte, Benboa restaurant has opened, as a fusion of various different concepts at the same time: restaurant and market. Vives have helped to decorate this innovative place by using the Mugat Blanco 10x20cm and the floor tiles: Orsa - 21x89 antislip C3 and Dorset marrón 31.6x31.6 cm.
The result has been a modern decoration which contrasts perfectly with the essence of the tradition served up.

Just a few metres from the Levante beach in Benidorm, the Hotel Ambassador Playa is located with its excellent facilities creating an ambience of relaxation and well-being. For the its new image they have used Vives tiles to create this atmosphere in the Explorers Club restaurant and café area: The1900 collection (Basalto, Gris, Calvet, Terrades, Llagostera y Gibert) gives a vintage style to the decoration helping replicate an old and traditional train station.

Castellon's Sisif bar & restaurant has recently opened its doors and has also used Vives ceramic tiles. This project shows the Montaner Azul tile which belongs to 1900 collection (20x20cm)combining it perfectly with the Blanco and Florentina tiles that are part of the same collection together with the wall tile Buril and Vano Marfil that comes from the Wäsel (20x50 cm.) collection. The bathrooms which also use our tiles combine the Buril and Vano Marfil, which also comes from the Wäsel (20x50 cm.) collection and the Ruhr Plomo (30x60 cm.) from the same range name. It is a restaurant and bar that has personality and character in which you can enjoy a delicious meal with great company and in great surroundings.
