Peronda Ceramica presents its novelties and trends for 2014

Treasure collection
Peronda Cerámicas continues to stand out in the ceramic tile sector for its quality and designs that mirror the latest trends. A consolidated position that is clearly reflected in the new products for 2014 presented by this Spanish firm. Inspired by the themes that set the latest global trends in interior design, Peronda cerámicas will be present with more than 20 new collections.

Luxury Nature
Collections created for its various brands: Museum, the market leader in polished glazed porcelain tiles and which this year will have its own stand at the event; Foresta, wood-effect glazed porcelain tiles; Peronda, featuring new designs in red and white body as well as porcelain wall and floor tiles; Harmony, with its special decorative pieces, and the Goah line, which includes new and exciting ideas in bathroom furniture. Highlights of the new products include the initial results of the Peronda Fashion Lab,a corporate project launched by the Spanish ceramic tile firm in January this year. Under the slogan “Company needs artist, artist needs company", the Peronda Fashion Lab was set up to channel and develop creative synergies whilst at the same time providing patronage for artists making a name for themselves on the international scene.

Peronda Cerámicas has joined forces with several of the multi-disciplinary artists that make up the Peronda Fashion Lab, developing collections that are either designed by these artists or inspired by their works. Examples include the collections created by fashion designer Juan Vidal, sculptors Trashformaciones, vintage furniture designer Francisco Segarra and industrial designers Dsignio. This project has successfully strengthened Peronda Cerámica’s close ties to the worlds of fashion and art, one of the hallmarks of this firm.

Coleccion Alexandra opens a new showroom of luxury furniture of 450 square meters

COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA  is a modern dynamic Spanish company creating exclusive and handcrafted furniture with a high customization degree far-removed from the standard mass production. The collection is not only restricted to furniture but the project also includes decoration accessories, home textiles, lighting and complements in order to get a particular, glamorous and integral  design concept.

The company exports its unique furniture to more than 20 countries and participates year after year in the most prestigious international trade fairs worldwide: i Saloni Worldwide Moscow, Index Dubai and Index Saudi Arabia, Habitat Valencia, i Saloni Milano, Maison&Objet Paris and Cevisama, with its Bath Collection.
COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA has just opened a new impressive showroom of 450 sqm in Burriana, where the firm has its headquarters. These new premises, which complete the already existing 600 sqm show house, are an excellent showcase for the company’s latest launches, aimed both for home and contract use. The showroom will also be used as a B2B meeting space to receive specifiers and clients of the brand from all over the world. 


ALEXANDRA DESIGN STUDIO, COLECCIÓN ALEXANDRA’s Design Department, has developed an ambitious interior design project, creating an exhibition space divided in different areas for different styles and products: from the classics of the HERITAGE line to the more contemporary proposals of the EVOLUTION catalogue. Hallmark of all the pieces on exhibition is a design concept closely linked to handicraft and luxury details and defined by the high degree of personalization possibilities.

Spanish ceramic tile industry leads the obtaining of AENOR GlobalEPD sustainable product eco-labels.

On 29th November eleven major ceramic tile manufacturers in the Castellón cluster received the Environmental Product Declaration AENOR GlobaEPD certification, making the ceramic industry in our region a leader in terms of obtaining eco-labels at national level. Some of the companies that obtained this certification are:  Ceracasa, Peronda, Azulev, Ceramica Ribesalbes, GayaforesKeraben and Azteca, as well as Vives Ceramica and Colorker, which had already obtained this eco-label.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a system of European eco-labelling of products in the construction sector which can certify the environmental impact throughout the life cycle of products and eco-efficient manufacturing process. Specifically, the DAP is a type III ecolabel pioneer in Spain which is already applied in other countries such as Norway, Canada, Japan , South Korea , Germany, Holland , Switzerland and France, and is under establishment in Denmark and Italy.

The AENOR GlobalEPD program, which allows obtaining Environmental Product Declarations , is currently a voluntary certification system , but it can become a very important factor for companies or sectors in order to promote competitiveness against competition from other countries and facilitate access to markets with a higher level of environmental awareness in the international arena.

The Spanish industry of ceramic wall and floor tiles is aware of the capacity of ceramic coverings as a material to build a more sustainable architecture. Recently they launched a website (www.spaintiles.info/eco) with the aim of informing about the characteristics of ceramic tiles, showing examples of sustainable projects , disseminating the studies carried out in R & D, and presenting the ceramic latest innovations in terms of sustainability.
